About Bonnie

Bonnie is a 5-year-old, 60-pound female Lab/Pittie mix who was found as a stray with her friend Clyde. They were seen on the streets for months, and when fosters became available, they were rescued. Bonnie is dog-friendly, currently living with three other dogs, and we believe she would absolutely thrive with another dog in the home. She has a low energy level and enjoys lounging on her bed or the couch, or sunbathing in the backyard. She will play with a ball for about five minutes before returning to her relaxation. Bonnie is also cat-friendly, living with cats in her foster home without much issue, though she did chase the cat once when it got close. She hasn't lived with children, but we think she'd do well with older children who can respect her boundaries. Bonnie is shy when meeting new people and needs quiet time to warm up. She is fully potty trained and doesn't cry in her crate, seeing it as a safe space. Her foster mom describes her as sweet and shy, more comfortable around females, and notes she may have had a negative experience with a male in the past. With time and patience, she is growing to trust the male in her foster home. She will need a patient male adopter if she goes to a home with men. Once comfortable, she enjoys following her people around and greets them with excitement. Her ideal home will be quiet and patient. While we would love for Bonnie to be adopted with Clyde, it's not a requirement, but we would prefer she go to a home with another dog if not adopted together.

Ideal Home

Bonnie would thrive in a quiet and patient home. She would do best with another dog.
