Mavis

Mavis is a 2-year-old, spayed female Shepherd mix who weighs about 55 pounds. She's a gentle, easygoing sweetheart who was rescued after showing up at an elementary school. A kind teacher started feeding her, and with the help of a dedicated rescue team, Mavis found her way into foster care where she's been thriving. She's a calm companion, happy with daily walks and then relaxing by your side.

Ideal Home

Mavis would thrive in a home where she can feel secure, loved, and be part of the family. She loves other dogs and currently lives harmoniously with dogs of all sizes. Given her interest in squirrels, a cat-free home would be the best fit for her. A calm, predictable environment will help her feel her best.

Training & Support

Mavis is house-trained, does well in a crate, and has great manners when left alone. She's not destructive and coexists peacefully with other dogs. She has excellent leash manners, though she may politely avoid sewer grates and drainage holes. She can be a bit shy with new people but warms up quickly. She knows how to sit and is eager to learn more.

Transportation
