Lucy is a 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog mix with a heart of gold! She was living on a chain, but thanks to Kind Spirits Rescue Dogs Pet Lifeline, she received the care she deserved, including being spayed. After her surgery, her previous owner generously allowed her to stay with the rescue. Now, Lucy is flourishing in a private foster home in Texas, surrounded by 8 other dogs, where she's learning all about love and belonging. She's a cute, smaller-sized Blue Heeler who is loyal, observant, smart, and while a little bossy with some dogs, is generally mellow and easy-going. She's a champion at fetch and has a wonderful, affectionate nature without being needy. She also does well with most dogs, though she might playfully nibble the heels of those she doesn't particularly like – very much in true Heeler fashion! So far, she's shown no interest in cats and is a bit curious about small dogs. Lucy walks nicely in public, rides great in the car, and is microchipped, spayed, healthy, and up-to-date on all her vaccines and preventatives. While Lucy can be a bit timid around new people and needs a little time to warm up, once she's comfortable, you'll see her classic Heeler behaviors like supervising everyone, following her people, and giving you that signature, dramatic side-eye when judging your life choices!

Training & Support
Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be next to you!), and leash trained. She can be a little bossy with some dogs and may nibble heels if she doesn't like another dog. She's also a bit peculiar around small dogs.

Lucy is located in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome! Private transport with K9 Delivery LLC can be arranged for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
