Lila, also affectionately known as "Chocolate Chip" by her foster family, is a young mixed-breed sweetheart with a warm caramel coat, gentle eyes, and a calm, loving presence. She's the type of dog who quietly enriches every moment, happy just to be part of the family. Lila is curious and warm when meeting new people, settles in easily, and is comfortable with handling. She has a special fondness for children, possessing a steady and patient temperament that makes her feel safe and trustworthy.
Growing up with other dogs has made Lila a very social girl. She thrives in the company of canine companions and feels most secure with another dog around. She's playful, submissive, and easygoing with other pups, always adapting to the social atmosphere. For Lila to truly shine, we'd love to see her in a home with another friendly dog sibling.
Lila is eager to please and responds well to gentle guidance. While she's still learning basics like leash manners and crate training, she's cooperative and adaptable, making her a joy to guide and grow with. Her energy level is moderate; she enjoys daily activity and outdoor time but doesn't require anything intense. A short walk, some playtime, and time with her people are all she needs to be happy. A unique feature of Lila is that one of her eyes looks a little different due to an old injury from when she was a baby and needed stitches after being bitten. She healed beautifully, and this only adds to her unique charm without slowing her down at all.
Ideal Home
Lila would thrive in a home with another friendly dog sibling. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both Lila and the family.
Ongoing Health
Lila has a unique appearance in one of her eyes due to an old injury from when she was a puppy. This does not affect her health or activity level.
Training & Support
Lila is still learning leash skills and crate training but is cooperative and adaptable. Gentle guidance and positive reinforcement will help her succeed.
