Maurice is a 6-month-old shepherd mix weighing about 44 lbs, and he’s a wonderful mix of playful puppy and laid-back companion. He enjoys a good play session with his dog friends, but he’s not “go-go-go” all day—Maurice is just as happy relaxing nearby and keeping his people company. If you work from home, he’ll gladly spend the day lounging at your feet with breaks for play, potty, and outdoor time. Maurice absolutely loves other dogs and really thrives with a canine companion. He gains confidence from having another dog around and would do best in a home with at least one friendly, playful dog to keep him company and help guide him. He’s a smart, food-motivated pup who is already learning commands like sit and stay. Like many shepherds, he can be a little stubborn at times, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, he continues to learn quickly and make great progress. Maurice does well with both kids and adults, but he can be a bit shy when meeting new people. He’ll benefit from a family who will continue his socialization, go at his pace, and help him build confidence through positive experiences and encouragement.
