DOUGAL

Dougal is a wonderfully easy-going and laid-back Sheepadoodle, approximately 2 years old and weighing around 75 lbs. He's a true gem who gets along with all his foster siblings and is so unobtrusive that his foster family sometimes forgets he's there! Dougal enjoys lounging inside in the air conditioning during the heat of the day, but as the temperature cools, he loves to come outside to play with his friends, enjoy chew treats, and enthusiastically chase squirrels. He seems to be well-house trained and generally good on a leash, though he does pull and would benefit from a strong handler.

Ideal Home

Dougal needs a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and play. He is not suited for a home with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Dougal previously tested positive for heartworms and has completed his treatment according to the American Heartworm Society protocols. Repeat testing in 4-6 months is typically recommended.

Training & Support

While Dougal is reported to be house and leash trained, he does tend to pull on the leash and would benefit from continued training with a confident handler.
