She is an Anatolian Shepherd mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 72 lbs. Zara Belle is a rescue dog, and while we can't guarantee breed or age, she truly feels like a reward from the universe. She’s not just a good girl; she’s the kind of dog that makes living with a dog easy. Fluffy enough to double as a pillow, calm enough to peacefully exist through life's chaos, and sweet enough to melt you on contact. She's a perfectly balanced, go-with-the-flow lady who knows when it's time for a stroll, when to relax outside, and when to melt into the couch beside you. She has wonderful house manners, is respectful, walks well on a leash, and carries herself like the polite lady she is.
Ideal Home
Zara Belle showed wonderful qualities with a 5-year-old child, being calm, affectionate, and tolerant. She seems comfortable simply being near children, soaking up affection, and quietly existing without becoming overly excited. She would likely do well in a home with a family looking for a gentle companion. Zara is very dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other calm, easygoing dogs. She’s more of a “happy to coexist” gal than a super playful dog, content to lounge nearby or explore the yard. She appreciates respectful dogs and will offer a gentle correction if another dog becomes too persistent. She is also perfectly fine without other dogs in the home, as she doesn't rely on them for comfort and is happy being near her people. Zara was also respectful and calm around a resident cat during an initial meeting, and we can arrange a sleepover with a cat upon request to ensure a good match.
