Meet Cody! 🐾 Cody is a handsome, adult Golden Retriever looking for a very special forever home where he can truly thrive. He came to us for a fresh start after not receiving the structure he needed in his previous home, which unfortunately led to a bite history.

The good news is that Cody has already made great strides! He completed a board-and-train program and is currently with a dedicated foster who is continuing his work with a professional trainer. Cody is a smart boy who is eager to learn and loves staying active. With the right guidance, he has so much potential to live a happy and balanced life.

Ideal Home

Cody needs an experienced and committed adopter who can provide him with structure, leadership, and ongoing training. To ensure the best match, potential adopters must meet the following requirements:

• Be committed to working with a trainer and continuing Cody’s training.
• No homes with children.
• Be able to provide an active lifestyle with at least 1.5 hours of daily exercise and enrichment.
• No other dogs in the home, unless the adopter is highly experienced with behavioral cases.

Adopters must also agree to the Tattered Paws contract, which requires that Cody be returned to the rescue if the adoption does not work out for any reason.

Ongoing Health

Cody is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Cody has a past bite history due to not receiving adequate structure. He has completed a board-and-train program and continues to work with a professional trainer with his foster. He is eager to learn and has a lot of potential with continued consistent training.
