Chica lives every day like it's the best one yet and is determined to bring you along for the ride! She's pure enthusiasm--curious, playful, and always ready for fun. Chica loves toys, exploring, and especially other dogs and people. Once she's comfortable, she's a goofy, social butterfly who wants to play and be everyone's best friend, with a little "bull in a china shop" charm. She currently lives with three dogs and brings big "little sister who won't stop asking you to play" energy. She plays well when invited, shares toys, and respects other dogs when they set boundaries. She'd be happy as your one and only or with tolerant, playful dog friends who can match her energy. She does prefer to eat in her crate. On leash, Chica can get overly excited when she sees other dogs, but she's very food- and toy-motivated, making her a great training partner. She's an A+ crate student--goes in willingly, settles well, and sleeps through the night. Chica is a big personality in a fun, lovable, slightly topsy-turvy package. She's meant for people who jump into life, who love to laugh, and have extra room in their heart and on their couch. With the right guidance, she'll shine--and in return, you'll get a truly loyal, hilarious companion who turns everyday life into a celebration.
Ideal Home
Chica would do well as your one and only or with tolerant, playful dog friends who can match her energy. She does prefer to eat in her crate. Due to her excitability, she is recommended for homes with children over 7 years old. She can be selective with cats, and would do best with dog-savvy felines.
Ongoing Health
Chica has Subaortic Stenosis (SAS), a heart condition currently controlled with affordable monthly medication. She shows no signs of slowing down but needs monitored and moderate activity--short play sessions, walks, and plenty of rest rather than intense, prolonged exercise.
Training & Support
On leash, Chica can get overly excited when she sees other dogs and will need a patient, consistent adopter to help her build manners and confidence. She is very food- and toy-motivated, making her a great training partner.
