Meet Harlen! She's a social, happy, and affectionate girl who brings wiggly enthusiasm and shining personality to every interaction. Estimated to be around 1.5 years old and weighing 69 pounds, Harlen is likely a pittie mix with a heart full of love. She thrives when surrounded by friends, whether they have two legs or four, and her favorite thing is to wiggle with excitement when she sees someone approaching.

Ideal Home

Harlen would be happy in a house with a yard or an apartment, as long as she gets enough exercise. She's adaptable, affectionate, and very connected to her people. A family that enjoys playtime, walks, and laughing at her goofy antics will be a perfect match.

Harlen has no known health concerns.

Training & Support

Harlen is young and will benefit from ongoing training and practice. She has great basic leash skills but could use a little polishing. She is eager to learn and responsive to her people. While she has no resource guarding concerns with dogs or humans, she is known to "steal" unattended snacks, so a little guidance and keeping delicious-looking items out of reach will be helpful. A slow introduction to cats is still recommended, though she showed very encouraging behavior during her introduction to a resident cat.

Harlen is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
