Handsome

Handsome is a handsome 9-month-old, 80lb Pit Bull Terrier mix who is as affectionate as he is playful! He was surrendered due to his previous owner's financial struggles. Handsome is a smart boy who knows commands and loves a good game of tug-of-war. He was even learning to track and hunt, and he's great at riding in the car. He gets along well with women, men, and other dogs, though his playful energy can sometimes be a bit much for his canine friends.

Ideal Home

Handsome lived outside previously and has moderate to high energy. He would likely thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Because he can be protective, a home that can help him channel that trait appropriately would be ideal.

Training & Support

Handsome is housebroken and walks well on a leash. However, he does dig, has separation anxiety, jumps on people, and sometimes pees when he's scared or excited. Providing him with a consistent routine, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement training will be key to his success.
