Chillon is a 5-year-old, 68-pound neutered Lab/Pit mix with movie-star good looks and a sweet, slightly goofy personality. His soulful amber eyes, shiny black coat, and adorable collection of pajamas are sure to make anyone smile. Rescued from euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter in San Antonio, Texas, Chillon has made his way to the PNW and is now in a foster home in Burien, WA, ready for meet and greets. He was surrendered by his owner and found himself on the euthanasia list through no fault of his own, but he's now hoping for a second chance at finding his forever family.
Ideal Home
Chillon needs another dog in the home to help him build confidence, as he is quite nervous as a single dog. He warms up quickly to new people once he feels safe and is incredibly affectionate, silly, and loves to be close to his people. A home with respectful, dog-savvy children ages 12 and up would be ideal. He would thrive in a home where someone is around for most of the day, such as a work-from-home household or one with staggered schedules, as he can be worried about being left alone. He is happiest when included in his people's activities and would love a household with regular walks, playtime, and adventures, followed by cozy couch snuggles.

Training & Support
Chillon is house-trained and rides beautifully in the car. He is smart and eager to please, making him a fun dog to work with. He does pull on the leash and will require continued training for leash manners, though he is a quick learner. Regular activity and long daily walks will help him build confidence and settle. As he builds security, his new family should be prepared to help him work through some separation anxiety with patience and consistency.
