Phoebe is a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound Pitbull Terrier mix with a heart full of love and an adventurous spirit! She's a wonderfully sweet girl who balances her puppy-like energy with a calm demeanor, happy to snuggle up on a warm lap or a cozy blanket. Phoebe adores a good game of tug-of-war, basking in the sun, and swimming. She's also a fantastic running partner, excelling at long-distance jogs and even running alongside bikes or skates. She’s crate-trained, sleeps through the night, and is a true companion for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Phoebe has undergone extensive training, including a program at Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation, and will continue to receive support and advice from her trainer post-adoption.
Ideal Home
Phoebe would thrive in a home with owners experienced with the Pitbull breed. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and daily exercise, and ideally, homeowners with a fenced backyard. Phoebe needs to be the only pet in the household and is not suitable for homes with children or other dogs. She needs a family with an open mind about rescue animals and their potential behavioral needs, someone with experience in dog behavior and training, and a high level of patience and tolerance.
Ongoing Health
Phoebe has a clean bill of health. She has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She is also on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
Phoebe is a well-trained and disciplined dog who responds to commands and has been successfully house and crate-trained. She has undergone extensive training, including specialized rehabilitation, and her trainer will provide ongoing support and advice to her new family.
