Meet Hachi!
Hachi is a resilient and loving 2-year-old pup, weighing around 50 lbs, who spent much of his life in an outdoor kennel after being rescued from a hoarding situation. Despite his past, Hachi has a heart of gold and a gentle spirit, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and a desire to be friends. He absolutely adores people and is wonderful with children, never meeting a stranger he doesn't want to befriend. Simple joys like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality family time are treasures to Hachi, who once slept on wooden slats and never had a dog bed. He's crate trained, potty trained, and ready to embrace life in a loving home. While he prefers slow introductions to other dogs, he bonds well with confident pups and enjoys canine companionship. Hachi is a medium-energy boy, always up for an adventure but equally happy to snuggle up next to you after a fun day. He rides well in the car and is looking for a home where he'll be cherished and included. Hachi still needs to gain a bit of weight, aiming for closer to 60 lbs, so he'll welcome any extra treats!
Ideal Home
Hachi would thrive in a home where he is included as a cherished family member. He enjoys the company of confident dogs, and while he does best with slow introductions, he can learn to bond with other pups.
Ongoing Health
Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is approximately 60 lbs.
Training & Support
Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. He tends to do better with confident dogs, and may try to assert himself with more timid dogs initially. He is a quick learner and eager to please.
