Mars

Meet Mars, a charming 2-year-old boy weighing in at 45-50 lbs. Mars's journey began with a heartbreaking abandonment, where he was found by gas station employees after being dumped from a truck. He bravely navigated a nearby neighborhood, seeking sustenance and a safe haven, until the Adore team stepped in to rescue him. Now, Mars is at a local dog trainer, embracing the opportunity to truly be a dog again. He greets everyone with open paws and an affectionate spirit, making no one a stranger. Mars also enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those with a similar zest for running and playing. With some guidance and structure, he could also find a comfortable home with feline friends. This sweet boy would be a wonderful companion for older children, as he wouldn't accidentally knock them over. His recall is already impressive, hinting at a bright future with a loving family.

Ideal Home

Mars would do well with older children who he cannot accidentally knock over. With structure and guidance, he could also live in a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Mars is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is heartworm positive and has begun the slow-kill treatment process. We will provide monthly Heartgard to his future adopter to cover ongoing treatment.

Training & Support

Mars is currently boarding with a local dog trainer and learning to become a dog again. His recall is amazing, and he is friendly with everyone he meets and great with other dogs.
