Duke Ellington is pure serotonin in dog form! This happy-go-lucky guy is all smiles, wiggles, and enthusiasm, bringing a larger-than-life presence that's impossible not to adore. He's playful, affectionate, and hilariously expressive, feeling more like an overly enthusiastic best friend than just a dog. Duke loves to "sing" his opinions through dramatic opera-style vocals, especially when he's excited! He's believed to be a 2-year-old, 50 lb. Pittie/Boxer mix.

Ideal Home

Duke thrives on attention and wants to be part of everything his humans do. He'll do best in a home where he isn't left alone for long stretches. Apartment living is not ideal due to his vocal talents. A backyard is a must for him to zoom, play, and "perform" his concerts. He needs a semi-active family that embraces his big personality and can provide structure, routine, exercise, and consistency.

Ongoing Health

Duke is a rescue dog, and breed and age cannot be guaranteed. He is up-to-date on all vetting.

Training & Support

Duke already knows how to sit and is treat-motivated, enjoying learning and engaging with his people. He is crate trained and potty trained. He can pull on leash out of excitement, so continued leash work will help him polish his manners.
