Diego ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale!

Diego, estimated to be 2-3 years old and weighing 62 lbs, is a lean and energetic Doberman mix with a docked tail and cropped ears. His ears have some scarring along the edges but do not cause him discomfort or require any special care. Diego was found wandering alone near a busy road in Houston and came to us needing to be neutered, vaccinated, and undergo heartworm treatment. He's a playful dog who enjoys car rides and meeting new people. He's generally quiet and observant, but he thrives on opportunities to run at full speed, whether in circles or zigzags, before settling down. He has a good balance of needing both physical and mental stimulation.

Ideal Home

Diego would benefit from a home with a yard and a family familiar with the higher energy levels of the Doberman breed. He is playful with dogs of all sizes and personalities and avoids conflict, but he does have a strong prey drive for smaller critters and cannot be in a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Diego has completed his heartworm treatment and is up to date on vaccinations. His ears have some scarring from past issues but do not cause him any current discomfort or require ongoing medical attention.

Training & Support

Diego is crate trained, which serves as his "off" button for settling down. He needs opportunities to expend his energy through running and play.
