Ollie is a happy, social Black Mouth Cur mix puppy full of life and curiosity! He's a delightful 5-6 month old boy, weighing around 18 lbs and expected to reach about 40 lbs. Ollie gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, men, women, and even roosters, showing he's a very adaptable and well-rounded pup. As a young puppy, he's playful, energetic, and joyful. He loves to run, chase, and follow his doggy friends, and he truly enjoys being part of the pack. Ollie is also very affectionate and loves giving kisses, always seeking connection with his humans.
Ideal Home
Ollie is looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He would thrive with a family that has a genuine intention to rescue a dog and understands the need for protection and education that rescued animals require. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is a plus, or a willingness to hire a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach his full potential. He needs a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Ollie has received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. He comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, sometimes showing mild, passive defensive behavior if other dogs try to take it. For this reason, feeding him separately is recommended. He is not house-trained, as the rescue focuses on health rehabilitation rather than individual house training for all their foster pets. Continuous basic training and consistent leadership will be key to helping him learn boundaries and grow into a well-balanced adult dog. Patience and understanding are crucial, as he is a rescued pup who may need time to adjust.
