Meet Moochie, also known as Russell Scout! This under 10-pound Chihuahua mix is the definition of a loyal little shadow, ready to follow you to the ends of the earth with a pep in his step and a smile on his face. His unique little gait, which his veterinarian believes may be neurological, just makes him even more special and lovable – it doesn't slow him down one bit! Scout is potty trained, loves a good meal, and takes his cuddle duties very seriously. If you're looking for the perfect little spoon to your big spoon, Scout is your guy. His absolute favorite place in the world is curled up in your lap, where he drifts off to sleep and enthusiastically chases imaginary water buffalo in his dreams. Fair warning – his sleep hunting adventures can get pretty animated!

A calm, understanding home that can provide patience and gentle guidance would suit Scout best. He has not been child tested.

Training & Support

Scout will need a patient adopter willing to gently help him continue learning leash walking skills and proper introductions with other dogs. He can act a little tough when perched on furniture and may bare his teeth if he feels he has the advantage, but once on equal ground, he's more likely to retreat than confront. Deep down, he's a sensitive little guy who just wants to feel safe and loved. He may take a few days to warm up, but once he trusts you, you'll have a best friend for life.
