Ruby

Ruby is a petite pittie mix, estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing 50-55 lbs. She was rescued from Polk County about two weeks ago, having been part of a cruelty case where she and five other adult dogs were surrendered due to "too many dogs." Ruby is still coming out of her shell, but she's making great progress. She's been filling out nicely with regular meals and has developed a love for squeaky toys. She enjoys spending time with her foster family, especially cuddling on the couch, and is eager to learn about all the joys a loving home can offer.

Ideal Home

Ruby is a little reserved around new people but perks up at the sound of young children. If you get down on her level, she'll happily curl up in your lap. She has been great with the dogs she's met in her foster home and enjoys having a canine companion. However, she shows a bit too much interest in the barn cats, so her suitability with a house cat is uncertain.

Ongoing Health

Ruby has been spayed, tested negative for heartworms, and is up-to-date on all her vaccines.

Training & Support

Ruby is crate-trained but is still working on other basic skills. She seems to have had limited leash experience and pulls with excitement when walking, eager to explore the world beyond a fenced yard.

Transporation
