Lily

Meet Lily! She's a sweet, loving Shepherd mix, 5 years old and weighing 65 pounds. Lily was rescued from Mexico as a puppy and is a gentle soul who is timid at first but warms up quickly. Her favorite thing is to stare into your eyes while you stroke her face. She also has a goofy side; when she's excited, often about food or attention, her whole body wiggles with her wagging tail!

Lily loves sitting in the sun or by an open door to enjoy a fresh breeze and nature sounds. She enjoys walks but is also a bit of a homebody and can get tired on long hikes or runs. She doesn't like fireworks and will try to hide in a closet or pantry if she hears them.

Ideal Home

Lily would love a home where she can relax and enjoy the simple things, like a sunny spot or an open door. She gets tired on long hikes, so while she enjoys walks, she's not looking for a marathon partner. Lily would likely do well with older children.

Ongoing Health

Lily is spayed, healthy, and up to date on her vaccines. A couple of years ago, she had knee surgery for a torn ACL ligament and recovered well. She experienced some joint pain for a while, but it seemed to resolve once she lost some weight.

Training & Support

Lily is house-trained and knows some basic commands. She is very food-motivated, which can be a great asset for training!
