Hula Hoop

Meet Hula Hoop! This sweet girl came into rescue from a hoarding situation where she was clearly neglected and overeating. When we found her, she was a whopping 28 lbs and quite round, hence her name! After a long and gradual weight loss journey, she's now a healthy 12.8 lbs and no longer shaped like a hula hoop. Her bloodwork is excellent, and we believe she's a Miniature Pinscher mix, around 9 years old. Hula has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and is completely potty trained. She's ready for her new name and her forever home!

Ideal Home

Hula is looking for a patient adopter who understands she can be a little slow to warm up. However, once she bonds with you, she'll show her immense joy with smiles and full-body wags when you talk to her. She seems to prefer female humans over males. Due to past neglect, her forearms/wrists are damaged, so she should not be expected to go on long leashed walks. A fenced yard would be ideal for her. She does well with other dogs, but a home without cats is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Hula Hoop has no current health concerns. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Hula is potty trained and ready for her new life. While she's overcoming her past, her damaged forearms/wrists mean she needs a home that can accommodate her limited mobility for walks.
