Koda

Koda is a resilient and loving two-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who has overcome a lot in his young life. He came to us with an old fracture in his front right paw, and after starting him on pain medication, we saw a remarkable transformation from aggressive to playful and affectionate. To ensure his long-term comfort, Koda was neutered and his front right leg was amputated. He's recovered incredibly well and acts as if nothing is different! Koda is a truly grateful boy, just waiting for a loving family to call his own. His date of birth is September 1, 2021.

Ideal Home

Koda would love a home where he can feel secure and loved. While he doesn't enjoy other dogs walking by his kennel, he is fine with them in a larger, fenced area. We would be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet if you have another dog.

Ongoing Health

Koda had his front right leg amputated to address discomfort from an old fracture. He has recovered beautifully from this procedure.

Training & Support

Koda is not yet house-trained. Continued positive reinforcement and patience will be key to his success.
