Raptor

Raptor is a handsome, mellow 46.5 lb guy with an estimated DOB of 09/06/22. He's a Baja rescue dog who is the ultimate chill companion, happy snuggling on the couch or exploring the outdoors. Raptor loves beach walks and hikes but is also perfectly content lounging and napping. He's a polite, self-feeder with no begging or food aggression. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and respectful of your space. Raptor enjoys car rides, preferring to stand, and has the quirky habit of eating while lying down. He is a sweet, calm, soulful dog who doesn't bark and loves to be near you. Raptor is getting more comfortable meeting dogs his size or bigger off-leash and is easy with smaller dogs. He has taken to swimming and is learning to play and enjoy life.

Ideal Home

Raptor does best when left alone in a secure yard or cozy kennel, so he's looking for a home with outdoor space where he can feel safe and relaxed while you're away.

Ongoing Health

Raptor has a history of Tick Fever but has completed his medication regimen and has had a negative PCR test. All dogs from Cortez Rescue will be given a full medical assessment, be current on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. All dogs are micro-chipped before leaving Mexico.

Training & Support

Raptor knows basic commands and is house-trained and crate-trained. He is a gentle soul who is emerging more each day and learning to play.

Transporation

Raptor is currently in Cortez, Mexico and can be transported to Southern California.
