Tandy is a 2-year-old, 16lb bundle of pure love! Though her beginnings were tough, having been abandoned with her pups, Tandy's spirit never dimmed. She's a survivor who blossomed into an incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate girl once she found safety. Tandy is the ultimate lap dog, soaking up all the affection you can give and returning it tenfold. After nurturing her own puppies, Hannah and Jonah, Tandy is ready to be cherished and spoiled herself. She's an easygoing companion who loves to be part of everything you do, whether it's relaxing in the backyard, lounging by the pool, or simply basking in the sun beside you. She's already shown she enjoys the company of other dogs and would be delighted to have a canine friend in her new home.
Ideal Home
Tandy truly loves everyone and would fit wonderfully into any home, whether it's with a retired couple, a family with children, or a single person. She's ready to make her adopter feel like they've won the lottery!
Ongoing Health
Tandy has received a thorough veterinary examination, all routine annual vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), a heartworm test, fecal test, deworming, microchip, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and has been spayed. All dogs are quarantined for two weeks (puppies for four weeks) outside the shelter to ensure they are healthy. Fetching Hearts Rescue vets their dogs to the best of their knowledge, and if any issues arise, they are treated. You will be responsible for all follow-up vetting after adoption. Dogs treated for heartworm may test positive for up to 4-6 months after treatment. They are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin to kill larvae and should be re-tested 5-6 months after their last treatment.
