Tom is a sweet 9-month-old Terrier mix who is in urgent need of a loving home. He was found as a feral pup and is still learning to trust people. Tom will do best with a patient guardian who can help him build confidence and learn that humans can be kind. He arrived at the shelter on July 1, 2026, and is ready to start his new life.

Transportation

Tom is located at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter. Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) can arrange transportation for adopters on the West Coast, though adopters will be responsible for any associated transport fees.
