Meet Murphy!

This goofy and affectionate two-year-old Labrador Retriever mix, weighing in at 70 pounds, is all about happy tail wags and playful energy. Murphy loves to "talk" with little noises, making it feel like he's truly communicating with you. He enjoys long walks, car rides, chew toys, and zoomies in the yard. Murphy is a smart boy who responds well to clicker training and is eager to learn more. He already knows "sit" and "lay down," and is making great progress with "stay" and "recall."

Murphy is social with other dogs and would do well with a confident canine friend. Doggie daycare is a favorite activity where he really shines. When he's not playing, he enjoys snuggling and quiet time.

Ideal Home

Murphy would thrive in a home with a confident canine pal. A home without children is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Murphy has some skin sensitivities, and chicken has been removed from his diet as a precaution. Regular soothing baths help keep his skin comfortable.

Training & Support

Murphy has some anxiety, especially in new or chaotic environments, and can show fear-based behaviors when feeling trapped. He has had a few incidents where he nipped or bit due to fear. He can be a little nervous around some men, though he is making progress. He will benefit from slow introductions to new people and environments, consistency, and gentle guidance. A calm, experienced pet parent who understands anxiety and reactivity would be ideal.
