Chip is about a year old and weighs around 53 pounds. He's an American Bully mix with a strong, tank-like build, but underneath that tough exterior, he's a big softie with strong opinions! Chip has the classic bully look, complete with a large head and a sturdy frame. His face is so endearing that people can't help but stop to pet him, which he absolutely expects and enjoys.
Chip is a confident and social boy who wants to be involved in everything you do. He greets everyone with enthusiasm, as if they were personally invited guests, and he carries himself with a zest for life. Life with Chip is anything but dull! He's a toy collector, a professional splooter (that's dog for expertly lounging!), and while he's emotionally available, he can also be a bit dramatic. This trade-off is well worth it, as he'll play hard, make you laugh, and then completely collapse into a snoring, upside-down heap, as if he's just finished a marathon.
He loves his walks, thrives on playtime, and would definitely choose a good rope toy over most responsibilities. Chip is a big fan of water and an even bigger fan of tug-of-war. He's also a smart cookie! Chip is crate-trained, potty-trained, knows his commands, and responds very well to structure. He has a strong desire to please, and just needs a consistent handler to help him shine.
Ideal Home
Chip would do best in a home that appreciates a dog with a big personality. He needs an active and engaged owner who is ready for a dog that will be an integral part of their life. He can live with other dogs if introduced properly and currently coexists with a cat without any issues. He is not a background dog, he is not low-energy, and he is certainly not forgettable. Chip is the kind of dog you build your routine around, and you'll end up loving every second of it. We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
