Nico is a three-year-old Pug with a sleek black coat, an adorable smile, and a heart overflowing with love. His story began in tragedy—he was cruelly thrown from a moving van onto train tracks alongside another dog. Against all odds, this brave little soul survived thanks to the compassion of a Good Samaritan who brought him to The Fuzzy Pet Foundation. Since then, Nico has been thriving in foster care and is now ready for the loving home he so deeply deserves. Despite his past, Nico’s resilience shines through. He adores human companionship and thrives on affection. His upbeat nature will melt your heart, and his most endearing trick is the little twirl he does on his hind legs when he gets excited for mealtime. Playful and curious, Nico enjoys exploring, going for daily leash walks, and curling up close once the day winds down. He loves treats and has joyful spurts of energy while tossing his toys around. At just 17 pounds, he is the perfect size for snuggles on the couch or for walks around the neighborhood.
Ideal Home
Nico would do best in a calm, stable home without rambunctious children who might startle him. He also enjoys being the center of attention and thrives when he receives consistent love and structure. We are seeking adopters with a proven commitment to providing excellent veterinary care, ideally with familiarity caring for brachycephalic breeds such as Pugs, and a strong dedication to offering Nico a safe, loving, and permanent home.
Ongoing Health
Nico has a clean bill of health. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is up to date on all lab work. He is in excellent condition and fully ready to transition into his forever home.
Training & Support
Nico is friendly and social and does well with many other dogs, though he tends to feel most comfortable with smaller, female companions rather than dominant, high-energy males. He has not been tested with cats.
