Meet Betsy Blue, a wiggly, talkative, piglet-sounding sweetheart who is about two years old. We believe she's a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pittie mix, with one blue eye, one brown eye, soft floppy ears, and stunning coloring. Betsy can be a little hesitant when meeting new people, offering a gentle "drive-by bump" to test the waters before showering you with wiggles. Once she warms up, her joyful, snorty, and hilarious personality shines through. Her foster mom says she sounds like a piglet when excited, often jumping for joy when her favorite people enter the room. She forms deep bonds with her people, greeting them with wags, wiggles, and loving gazes.
Ideal Home
Betsy would thrive in a quieter home where she can decompress and gain confidence. She would do best with older children who can respect her space and allow her to approach them on her own terms.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Betsy is an active girl who loves walks and is a dream on leash. She's a toy enthusiast, especially fond of small plush cat toys, and is highly food-motivated, making her easy to train. She picks up new commands quickly and enjoys learning with her people. Betsy has lived with other dogs and cats in her foster home. While initially shy with other dogs, she blossoms into a playful companion once she feels safe. She has also settled in peacefully with cats, even wrestling with her feline foster siblings. Dog-savvy cats would be the best fit.
