Niven is a neutered, fully healthy, and microchipped boy who is up to date on all his vaccines! He's currently living his best life in a foster home and is ready to find his forever family. Niven is a big gift in a small package! He certainly thinks he's the only dog in the world and expects to be treated as such. If you like to be greeted at the door with 4-foot leaps of excitement, this is your guy! Niven is SO sweet and loves his humans so hard, and the spot he most wants to be is curled up on your lap with blankets. He is also one of the funniest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves hiding places and is a blanket extraordinaire who will also curl up in laundry baskets. He thrives with structure and a routine, and will do best with someone who can provide him with a calm and consistent environment. Niven is very sensitive to outside noises (i.e. doors slamming, loud voices in hallways, etc.) and will need to live in a single-family home in a quiet neighborhood.
Ideal Home
Niven is an adult-only home preferred, as he feels most comfortable in a home without children. He would do best in a single-family home in a quiet neighborhood. He is unsure with cats, so we would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet.
Ongoing Health
Niven is fully healthy and up to date on vaccines.
Training & Support
Niven is reliably potty trained and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He is also crate trained and comfortable spending time in a crate, settling easily. He can free-roam when left alone. Niven will benefit from continued training. He tends to bark/pull/jump on leash towards other dogs and/or people and will benefit from a calm neighborhood. He is selective with dogs and prefers some dogs over others. He benefits from thoughtful introductions to new pals and currently lives with a respectful resident dog in his foster home.
