Jango is a sweet, approximately 10-year-old, 18lb terrier mix who is looking for his forever person. He loves his walks and enjoys following his favorite human around the house. Jango is generally good with dogs his size or smaller and often ignores them. He previously lived in a foster home for over a year and was adopted, but unfortunately, he was returned after a few months when a new puppy was introduced into the home. Jango was abandoned by his previous family and was at risk of euthanasia before being rescued, so he truly deserves a loving and stable home.
Ideal Home
Jango would do best as the sole companion in a quiet home where he can form a strong bond with his person. He is not suited for a home with large breed dogs due to past experiences. Due to his tendency towards protective behavior and potential snippiness when uncertain, Jango needs a home that can provide him with clear boundaries and consistent training. Strangers should be advised to give him space and refrain from petting him initially.
Ongoing Health
Jango is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Jango can exhibit protective behavior and may be snippy if he feels uncertain. A water spray bottle has been found to be helpful in calming him. Consistency and positive reinforcement will be key to his continued success.
