STANDARD SMOOTH DACHSHUNDS: WAIT LIST STARTED

Meet Kinderteckel Smooth Standard Dachshunds. In the fancy since 1992 and serious about my commitment to documented OFA health testing with my standard smooth dachshunds. You can verify OFA health testing and CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) registry numbers by going to https://www.ofa.org/look-up-a-dog and checking kennel names. Put "Kinderteckel's" in the search field to verify testing. Only breeder of standard smooth dachshunds on the West Coast that consistently does microchip-verifiable OFA testing, generation after generation.  There is NO good reason to NOT test! As a preservation breeder, I take all measures I feel appropriate to safeguard the future of my breed. I utilize all tools available in making those decisions. As a result, my personal requirements for health testing my breeding stock exceed the minimum recommendations set by the Canine Health Information Center and The Dachshund Club of America. I do it simply because I feel that it is the right thing to do. I honor the DCA Code of Ethics, am a AKC GOLD Breeder of Merit, and have been an active board member of The Dachshund Club of California and Temecula Valley Kennel Club for years. I am the president and show chair of the oldest regional dachshund club in the country: DCC. My standard dachshunds compete and excel in AKC conformation events and performance and field trial events.  We have bred and finished AKC conformation and AKC field/dual championships on about 75 standard smooth dachshunds in this country. We have dogs of our breeding competing in the show rings in Europe, Russia, Brazil, Australia, the UK, Canada, etc.  Our breeding program has produced multiple ROMO, ROMX, and ROM (Dachshund Club of American top producer designation) producers. My breeding program is small and selective, with all of my dogs being house dogs rather than kennel dogs. I do not have other breeds or other sizes/coats of dachshunds....just standard smooth dachshunds. I don't believe in breeding just to create puppies for constant sale...my purpose in breeding is to keep a puppy for my own breeding program. I do not have litters every month or two, because I have my dogs in my home with us, usually keep dogs for life, and have a commitment to providing proper vet care and time to every dog here. I will have a litter perhaps once a year, if that often, depending on what I am looking to improve in my breeding program. EMAIL DIRECTLY: kinderteckel@aol.com. I take my time and properly evaluate my puppies, including getting through all vet exams, prior to offering any particular puppy for sale to someone already on my established wait list.
