Penny

Penny is a charming 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a big personality to match her small size! She came to us as a stray, ready for a fresh start. Penny recently underwent surgery for bladder stones and a mammary tumor, and she's now happy and healthy with a clean bill of health.

Ideal Home

Penny would do best in a home with no other dogs, or with a very mellow canine companion who isn't bossy. She enjoys attention, but on her own terms. This little lady would also be a great match for someone looking for a companion for low-energy walks.

Ongoing Health

Penny is recovering from surgery to remove bladder stones and a mammary tumor. She has a clean bill of health after these procedures. Due to some past urinary issues, Penny can't always get outside fast enough, so she is comfortable using potty pads and may occasionally need doggy diapers.

Training & Support

Penny can be a bit of a bully when she wants something, especially when it comes to food. To ensure she feels secure, she needs to be fed separately. She's also learning to navigate interactions with other dogs, sometimes being a bit bossy. Patience and consistency will help her settle in.
