Stanley is the man

Stanley is a handsome 6-year-old boy who appears to be a chocolate lab pittie mix. He's a mellow and easy-going guy who prefers to take things slow when meeting new people and dogs. Stanley is a sweetheart who is learning to trust again and is currently in a loving foster home. He's a calm presence, even around energetic dogs, and loves exploring new places, including going on road trips and to the beach.

Ideal Home

Stanley would love a family who will allow him to continue exploring the world with them, whether on road trips or to the beach. He could easily fit into apartment living due to his laidback attitude and quiet nature, but he would also appreciate a yard to sunbathe and go on "sniffaris." He is not a good fit for homes with cats, but the rescue is happy to test him with other animals if needed.

Ongoing Health

Stanley is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and has been spayed/neutered.

Training & Support

Stanley knows how to sit and is great on leash. He is also an excellent car rider and stays calm during vet visits. He's shown patience with an 8-year-old friend who trained him with treats.

Transporation

Stanley is currently in Texas. Wags facilitates adoptions across the US through internal transport to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, and Canada. Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, or Brattleboro, VT. Transport is provided in USDA-licensed vehicles with 24/7 care.
