Baltos is a happy, adaptable puppy with a playful spirit and a sweet heart. He is a Labrador mix, approximately 9 months old, and currently weighs 20 lbs, with an expected adult weight of around 38 lbs. Baltos is social and gets along very well with other dogs, children, men, and women, making him a wonderful family companion.
At first, Baltos can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and is not aggressive at all. Once he feels comfortable, he loves attention and enjoys being petted. He is a well-rounded puppy who uses a crate, walks well on a leash, and lets you know when he needs to go outside to potty. Baltos loves to play, especially with his toys, and enjoys entertaining himself. He is friendly, playful, and eager to learn, making him an excellent choice for a family looking for a loving and fun companion to grow with. This sweet boy is ready to bring joy, playfulness, and affection into his forever home.
Ideal Home
A fenced backyard is preferred. An active family that enjoys outdoor activities, and has a real intention to rescue a dog, not just adopt. Families with an open conscience about the needs of street animals and their behaviors, and who have experience in dog behavior and training, or are willing to hire a trainer, are ideal. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are a must.
Ongoing Health
Baltos has received a spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. He has also had a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. He comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Baltos is not house-trained. It's essential to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience and understanding are crucial for building trust and strengthening the bond with your new companion.
