Trigger may start out a little cautious, but underneath that shy exterior is a sweet and gentle boy who truly wants to trust. Once he warms up, Trigger becomes affectionate, curious, and happy to be close to his people. He enjoys quiet cuddle time, relaxing with his foster siblings, and following the lead of the other dogs around him. Trigger came to rescue from a hoarding case with over 30 chihuahuas, and he is still learning that new experiences do not have to be scary. He will need a patient family committed to continuing his confidence-building journey with kindness and consistency. Trigger loves other dogs and would do best in a home with a friendly fur sibling who can help him feel secure and teach him all about being part of a family. Watching Trigger come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding, and with the right home, this sweet boy is sure to continue growing into a wonderful companion. He was born in May 2024.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- The adoption fee for out-of-state adoptions is $350 plus transport.
- This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old.
- All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention.
- A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
- Adoptions are not on a first-come, first-served basis; the goal is to find the best possible home for each animal.
Transportation
Trigger is being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas, but is available for transport to a predetermined location agreed upon by Wags.
