Dinah Dove Gentle Heart is a beautiful girl with a spirit as calm and comforting as a warm hug. At a little over a year old and weighing 63 lbs, this Rottweiler/Shepherd mix (best guess!) is a gentle soul who melts into your touch and asks for nothing more than quiet affection. She has a way of making you slow down and appreciate the simple moments, with soft eyes that will draw you in and a gentle way of leaning into your legs for a moment of love. Dinah is deeply loving and forms quiet, meaningful connections that feel incredibly special. She was a little shy at first meeting new people, but with patient reassurance, she quickly blossomed, showing off her adorable belly for rubs and gently taking treats. Dinah has a wonderfully soft mouth and is a sensitive, thoughtful dog who truly thrives when she can simply be herself.
Ideal Home
Dinah would thrive in a calm home with older kids or adults who understand shy dogs and the beauty of letting trust build slowly. She is not recommended for homes with cats or very small dogs, as fast movements and busy environments can initially overwhelm her.

Training & Support
Dinah initially needed a little time to settle in with other dogs, but once comfortable, she showed appropriate social skills. Pushy dogs can overwhelm her, though she gives fair, controlled corrections when needed. She would likely do best with respectful, socially savvy dogs, especially calm or playful medium to large dogs who won't crowd her. Though initially shy, she enjoys rough-and-tumble play once she feels secure.

Dinah is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue run USDA certified transport system. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
