About Polly
Meet Polly, a delightful 38lb Cattle Dog Retriever mix with a heart full of puppy love and the sweetest disposition. She's spayed, vaccinated, and completely up-to-date on all her preventatives, making her ready to embark on her new life with you. Polly has a gentle, go-with-the-flow nature and truly enjoys being a part of her people's lives, whatever they may be up to.
Polly's inner puppy shines through! She adores her toys, loves to play with other dogs, and brings a happy, bouncy energy to playtime. If another canine friend wants to engage, Polly is always ready to join in the fun. She's also had positive experiences with children aged 6 and up. We don't have any information about her interactions with cats.
While Polly enjoys a good romp, she's generally a low-energy girl. She's just as content to relax and cuddle up with you as she is to chase a toy. She's affectionate, loves to snuggle, and thrives on being close to her humans. Polly can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she feels safe and secure.
Polly has excellent house manners and is fully house-trained and crate-trained for up to six hours. She travels well in the car and has no issues with resource guarding or food aggression. She's currently working on her leash manners and might pull occasionally, but given her smaller size, she's quite manageable as she continues to learn.
Like many young dogs, Polly is still learning the ropes of home life and would benefit from a patient adopter committed to guiding her. When unsupervised, she may get into things, so she should be crated. With consistent routine and gentle guidance, she will continue to blossom into her best self.
Polly is a truly wonderful dog who would likely thrive in almost any home. Whether you're a family, a couple, or seeking a loyal companion, Polly has an abundance of love to share. With a little time to adjust to her new routine, she's sure to become a devoted and cherished best friend.
Ideal Home
Polly would thrive in a home that can provide patience and consistency as she continues to learn the rules of home life. She should be crated when unsupervised.
