Edgar is a handsome Akita mix with a strong spirit and a thoughtful personality. Like many Akitas, Edgar is a dog who values respect, space, and clear communication. He’s a good boy with excellent manners—he simply expects the people around him to understand and respect dog body language. Edgar is very honest about how he feels. If something makes him uncomfortable, he’ll let you know in his own way. That’s not a bad thing—it just means he communicates clearly and expects his humans to listen. With the right person who understands canine signals and boundaries, Edgar will truly thrive. True to his Akita roots, Edgar can be reserved with new people. If he doesn’t know you yet, he’d rather keep things polite and give himself some space. Once Edgar gets to know and trust you, though, his softer side appears. He’ll happily lean in for affection and enjoy cozy moments with his people.
