Take me home TODAY! My name is Cocoa and I was brought into the shelter as and owner surrender due to no fault of my own. I am a sweet but very shy girl. I am a 1-year-old Chocolate Lab weighing close to 45lbs. I want to let it be known that I have been diagnosed from my previous vet with some anxiety, and it was also discovered that I have a moderately low platelet count. This means that I'm more prone to busing and my blood can have difficulty clotting. Thus, I will require a new family willing to go slow and work with me. I do know most basic commands such as sit and stay. And I am also housebroken, leash and crate trained! I am good with other dogs but due to my anxiety, I am more scared of them than anything. With time I come around and will warm up to them. It is unknown how I react to cats and young children simply because I have never been introduced to them before. I am already spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. I cannot wait to meet my forever family, please adopt me today!
