Meet MacHenry. Elisabeth henry-macari is from New York state and breeds Labrador Retrievers. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions. Our puppies are born in our home and remain here until a new family provides a home.  We know this is a big step for you and we are happy to be available to you for the life of the dog.  We live in a rural area now, but since we are former Manhattanites, we know that a dog born with a good mind, and given proper training and socialization, can be a canine good citizen anywhere.  This is the breed of choice for people with special needs, and it is that attribute of the Labrador that we most value. We have never owned, or bred, any breed but Labradors. Our dogs hike with us, swim in our creeks and ponds, are trained to be mannerly on the leash and at all times in all situations. Dogs we have bred have become bench champions, and superb hunting dogs, as well as therapy dogs. We do Early De-sensitization with our newborns, and continue with the Puppy Culture protocol. Longevity is in our lines. We do OFA, CERF, Optigen, and Embark health clearances. We require a signed contract from puppy buyers,and do not permit our pups to become breeding animals. We specialize in best friends.
