About AGGIE

Aggie is such a sweet girl; I was surprised to discover that she is a good little athlete as well! First, you should know that she is probably smaller than you are expecting from the picture. She is only 30 pounds! She also does not shed, which is not common in the rescue world. Aggie came to me potty trained and super easy to take care of. She gets along with every person, dog, and cat. The first time I heard her bark was when I took my dog on a run and didn't take her with us. The next day Aggie joined us and she kept up just fine. The next time I brought her, she out-ran my dog.

It has also been cute to watch her discover hiking. On her first hike she started out a bit confused but after the first half-mile she was totally hooked. That hike was four miles, and a couple of days later she hiked six miles, no problem

If you like to cuddle, Aggie is your girl. She is always up to cuddle with anyone: me, my son, or the woman who went hiking with us last time. She never insists on cuddling though and will happily lie by your feet or off on her own.

Aggie loves toys. She will entertain herself for quite a while throwing them up in the air and then chasing after them. She sort of plays fetch, but the ball doesn't always make it back to the original thrower. Aggie loves to run and wrestle with other dogs, even my 75 pound, very tall dog. If Aggie is your dog, you will have a lot of friends. She insists on saying "hello" to everyone she sees, whether they are a dog or person. She is gentle in her approach and even wins over people who might not be as excited by dogs in general.
