Meet Ziva!
Ziva is a 3-year-old, 80-pound female Rottweiler with a heart of gold, just waiting for the right person to show her patience and love. Her previous owner sadly passed away, and Ziva spent weeks outdoors before being brought to safety in a foster home. She's fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to start her new life. Ziva is a "slow burn" – she takes time to warm up, but the bond you'll build will be incredibly rewarding. Once she trusts you, she's a snuggly, wonderful companion who enjoys walks, playtime, and relaxing by your side. She's also cat-friendly and has lived harmoniously with multiple felines.
Ideal Home
Ziva would do best with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for time and space to acclimate. She would prefer a home without children, as she needs a calm environment and doesn't like being touched near her ears or tail. While Ziva can be introduced to another dog with careful, slow introductions by an experienced owner, she would thrive best as the only dog in the household.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Ziva exhibits resource guarding and should be fed separately. She can be a puller on leash and would benefit from continued leash training. She is also reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks. Ziva is fully potty trained and free-roams in her foster home. While she sometimes goes into her crate to rest, she has not been crated by her foster parents.
