Cedric is an all-around bundle of absolute joy, radiating sunshine and charming everyone he meets. He’s always up for some fun with his human friends and checks all the boxes for the perfect pup companion: happy, bouncy, and sweet!
Ideal Home
Cedric would do well in most homes, especially those where he has someone around a lot. Because he loves people so much, Cedric can experience some separation anxiety when he is left alone, barking to communicate his feelings. For this reason, a home that doesn't share walls with other dwellings would probably be best for him.
Ongoing Health
While overall a healthy chap, Ced has a few small issues that his people will need to monitor:
- A Grade 2 (out of 5) heart murmur. The murmur is currently asymptomatic, with no outward issues noted.
- A collapsed trachea, a condition that sounds a lot scarier than it is. Mostly, this just causes Cedric to intermittently cough in a way that makes him sound like a goose honking—a fact that doesn't bother him in the least!
- Cedric tested positive for Lyme disease and was treated with the recommended course of antibiotics. He has never shown any symptoms of Lyme, but it's possible he may continue to test positive in the future.
- When he first came to us, Cedric had a lump on his throat that was surgically removed. The lump was determined to be a simple cyst that was benign and should not return.
