About Bellona Roman

If you're looking for a puppy who's equal parts brains, beauty, and best friend material, Bellona just might be the one you've been waiting for!

At just 4 months old, this adorable Pit Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix is already showing what an incredible companion she's going to become. Part of a litter of three, Bellona has a thoughtful, independent personality that sets her apart. She still loves all the fun that comes with being a puppy, including playing with her siblings, chasing toys, and cuddling up for naps, but there's something about her that feels just a little wiser. She's observant, eager to learn, and always seems ready for the next challenge!

Bellona absolutely loves attention and affection from her people, but she's also confident enough to entertain herself when needed. She has a wonderful balance of independence and companionship, making her the perfect puppy for someone looking for a dog that's both playful and easy to spend time with!

One of Bellona's greatest strengths is her eagerness to learn. She already knows how to sit and responded exceptionally well when introduced to new commands like "paw," "lay down," and "stay." She picked them up even faster than expected, showing just how intelligent and attentive she is. She's incredibly food motivated, making training both enjoyable and rewarding, and with consistency, she's sure to master whatever comes next.

Bellona is already doing an amazing job with potty training and is well on her way to becoming fully house-trained. She's also doing well with crate training and follows a structured routine including scheduled meals, playtime, crate time, and rest. The puppies currently sleep together and still wake during the night for potty breaks, so her future family should be prepared to continue that routine while she grows.

Like many puppies, Bellona is learning important life skills around mealtime. She's working on impulse control, especially around meal times, and has already made wonderful progress. She's gotten better at waiting for her food instead of rushing toward her bowl, showing impressive self-control for such a young pup!

Bellona currently lives with her siblings and a 7-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix. Like any energetic puppy, she enjoys trying to invite the older dog into playtime, though she's continuing to learn that not every dog wants to wrestle all day. She benefits from structure, guidance, and positive reinforcement as she continues developing good manners. She has not been introduced to cats, so slow, supervised introductions would be recommended. While she has a sweet disposition, she's still very much a puppy and is working on keeping all four paws on the ground when she's excited. Because of her enthusiastic greetings, families with young children should be prepared to continue reinforcing polite manners and supervised interactions.

Like every puppy, Bellona will thrive with patience, consistency, and plenty of love. She already has an outstanding foundation, a bright mind, and a heart that's eager to please. With the right family to continue her training and help her grow, she's sure to become a loyal, affectionate companion who will be by your side through every stage of life. Bellona isn't just looking for a home; she's looking for her person. And whoever gets to call her family is going to gain one incredibly smart, loving, and unforgettable best friend!
