Estimated to be around 5 years old and looking very much like an Alaskan Malamute mix, Smooch weighs about 60 pounds. His thick coat and northern-breed spirit are ready to trade scorching summers for cool breezes and shady adventures by your side. Smooch is wonderfully balanced, enjoying exploration but not needing constant motion. A short play session, a chance to splash in some water, or a nice walk will leave him content to find a shady spot and simply enjoy being with his people. He has a calm confidence that makes him incredibly easy company, and his excellent leash manners mean he's ready to accompany you just about anywhere. He's also the kind of dog who makes everyday outings effortless. Cafe patio lunch? Count him in. Road trip? He'll hop in the car like he's been waiting for the invitation all day, riding beautifully and settling comfortably beside your table without pestering for food. He'll absolutely appreciate a nibble of chicken if you're feeling stuffed and want to share, but the key is that he is respectful, easygoing, and genuinely a joy to have along for the ride. Smooch enjoys the company of other dogs, especially female dogs, and appreciates friends who understand polite dog communication. Like many mature, well-socialized dogs, he'll let another dog know if they're being a little too enthusiastic, but he's not looking for conflict, simply preferring respectful friendships. Treats are one of the quickest ways to this fluffy fellow's heart, and he believes kisses are meant to be shared generously. • The adoption fee is $1200 and includes all vetting, microchip, a Martingale collar, a health certificate for travel, and the cost of transport.

Transporation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
