Dottie

Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound bundle of joy looking for her forever home! This sweet girl is a true cuddle bug who also loves to play. She's a loyal companion with a goofy personality that's sure to keep you laughing. Dottie is incredibly intelligent and food-motivated, making her a quick learner when it comes to training. She just wants to be by your side, whether that's snuggling on the couch or embarking on an adventure.

Ideal Home

Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home that can provide at least one good walk or play session a day. She enjoys a calm environment and does best with one or two other dogs, particularly larger ones. She could also be the perfect only pet, soaking up all your love and attention. Dottie would do best in a home without young males or an all-female household, as she has had negative experiences with younger men. She is wonderful meeting women.

Ongoing Health

Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is ready for her new home with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Dottie is a well-behaved girl who is fully potty trained and crate trained. While she can be left to free roam and does well, she does whine initially when left alone. She is already house-trained and walks calmly on a leash, though she can pull and bark when she sees other dogs. Her foster mom notes she is eager to please and picks up on training quickly, especially when food is involved.

Transporation

Dottie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is available for virtual meet & greets. She is eligible for transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
