Ruthie Hufflepuffle may not be the first to run up and say hello, but give her a little time and you will discover one of the sweetest hearts in the whole litter! This black and brown lab mix takes a moment to warm up to unfamiliar faces, quietly observing the world around her before deciding it's safe to lean in. With her siblings, though, it's a different story. Ruthie loves to play, tumble, and be part of the fun, showing off a gentle, happy side that comes naturally when she feels comfortable. She's especially fond of snuggling up in a cozy puppy pile, and that same love extends to her people once she knows she can trust you. At around 11 lbs, Ruthie is a soft, affectionate companion who bonds deeply and loves quietly. She's the kind of puppy who does not just give love freely to everyone, but when she gives it to you, it really means something. Like all puppies, Ruthie will need patience and consistency as she grows and gains confidence. With a little time and a lot of love, she'll blossom into a loyal, snuggly best friend who will always be happiest right by your side!

Training & Support

Ruthie will need continued positive reinforcement training to build her confidence. As with all puppies, potty training, crate training, and leash walking will be ongoing.

Transportation

Ruthie is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run, USDA-certified transport system. Transport is available to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
