MIA

Mia is a super sweet 2-year-old, 7-pound Yorkshire Terrier mix with a lot of love to give! She can be a little shy when first meeting new people and dogs, but her confidence blossoms quickly. Once she gets to know another dog, she adores their company. Mia is happy to snuggle on your lap and be your constant companion. She also loves treats and playing with her toys. She walks well on a leash and prefers to sleep in bed with her foster parents. While she is crate trained, she's not a fan of her crate. Mia is mostly housebroken and is happy to use potty pads when the weather is cold and snowy. Mia was surrendered by her owners, along with two other dogs, after their home was destroyed by a fire. She has lived with adults and teenagers.

Ideal Home

Mia needs a home with another dog to play with and to help her feel confident. A securely fenced-in yard is also a must. She thrives with people who are home most of the time and is not a candidate for a household where everyone is gone for a full day; she can handle being alone for no more than four hours.

Ongoing Health

Mia has been examined by licensed veterinarians, received inoculations, tested for diseases, been dewormed, spayed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Mia is mostly housebroken and uses potty pads when the weather is not cooperating. She is crate trained but does not enjoy it.
